Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
I hope the busy part of your season is over and you can relax this week and take in the glory that is the Christmas season. It has been a busy month that kicked off with the Holiday Extravaganza, then the Living Nativity, the Christmas exhibit at the Bess Streeter Aldrich House, which you can still get to this Saturday!!
In amongst all that were two school programs. Video of the Junior/Senior High program are below. I hope you enjoy them!
I know I'm slowing down a little, but the wrapping paper is still staring at me and the Christmas tree just yelled at me to water it.
Yes, as I was writing I remembered the tree had not been watered in the past couple of days...oh well. Life goes on.
Speaking of life going on the Village of Elmwood has three new Village Board members.

IT’S MOVIE TIME!
Elementary school students are invited to see a movie at the library on their day off from school.

We will provide a drink and a snack and the movie will be finished by 1:30 with plenty of time to clean up before the library closes at 2:00.
Please come and join us. You'll have a singin' good time!
FREE Elmwood Library hour magnets available. Stop by and pick one up for your refrigerator. Never forget when the library hours are again. I know I'm going to get one. I have a memory like a sieve sometimes!

Do you have a review of a book at the library, submit them by emailing editor@elmwoodnebraska.com

16th Annual Short Story Contest
Start thinking of ideas for the 16th Annual Bess Streeter Aldrich short story contest.

E-M BBB vs Malcolm 12-15-17 1 from Jim Rust on Vimeo.
Basketball season is in full swing and if you haven't been able to get to a game you can watch them on Jim Rust's Vimeo channel in their entirety. In fact, you can even catch a few highlights people are talking about.
Winter Concert
Like always Mrs. Colbert and Mr. Hansen put together a wonderful Winter Concert that highlights the talents of our junior high and high school students. Even though my kids are no longer in school I love to attend as it is so breathtaking and a wonderful tradition.
Enjoy selected performances from the concert. It is a YouTube Playlist so each song will progress to the next. You can have it running in the background as you work on your computer at home or work.
