The Elmwood Rescue Squad brought it last Sunday. Bubble Soccer that is! A great time watching people wrapped in giant bubbles chase a soccer ball around the park was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Many people enjoyed the BBQ lunch and snacks. Some people tried out the new GaGa Ball Pit and had a blast!

The Bounce Backs played the final round against the Graff Geezers. I think they were all winners!

The kids told me they weren't sure what this was for but now that they know they love to play GaGa!!

Not just a game for kids! Grab your friends and go try it out! Don't forget to take a playground ball!!

Volunteers needed for the Elmwood stop of the Market to Market Relay Race! From the Market to Market website: "A premier day-long team running relay race that takes runners from Market to Market®. Starting at sun up, seven runners and a van take on diverse and scenic courses as they make their way to the downtown finish shindig before sun down. Combine running in beautiful landscapes, outrageous costumes and memorable van rides with your friends and it all adds up to 1 unforgettable day."
Elmwood is one of the places that is an exchange site for the relay. There will be a lot transport vans dropping off and picking up runners so the team needs to have volunteers in Elmwood to direct traffic to keep it flowing smooth and keep the runners safe. By providing volunteers we will earn a donation from the Market to Market Relay Series for the Elmwood Park!

What does the Elmwood Village Board Talk About?
It's no secret what goes on at the Village Board meetings. You are welcome to come and listen! What is there to do on Wednesday night this week? Watch the Republican presidential debate? You could. Or you could DVR it and come to the Elmwood Village Board meeting! We have some exciting things going on in town, one of which is the beginning of a redevelopment plan. We have a guess speaker coming to talk about how the community he lives in used TIF funds to better the town. TIF funding helps pay for public improvements to blighted areas or new developments. I know that people would like to see new businesses and homes in Elmwood. This is the first step to making that happen!
Another thing we are going to talk about are cats. You are invited to come and hear the Village Board discuss the issue of nuisance cats. There will be a time for public comment, too.
The Village Board looks forward to hearing your comments so please save them for the meeting and do not post here. We hope to see you Wednesday night! 7:00 pm at the Village Office. There will be cookies!
