It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to an awesome man this week.  Greg Meyer passed away Tuesday from complications from a recent surgery.  Greg was the local barber, fishing expert, music man, and all around good guy.  I could always count on him for a witty comment on my facebook.  When his dog would escape Greg would come to our house because the dog liked to visit our dogs.  I would go with Joe when he got a haircut just to listen to Greg's stories.  His barbershop was totally man's world.  Our condolences go out to Paige and Cindy.  Paige was the light of his life.  He often told me what she was up to and he would just gleam with pride.  So long, Greg, you will be greatly missed.

SPLAT!!!!!

Someone was up to some high jinx Saturday night in Elmwood and Murdock.  Many cars and at least one house were egged.  They hit our neighborhood about 11:00 pm.  One of my neighbors heard the Splat, Splat as his truck was hit and then some laughter as the vehicle sped away...on to my house no doubt.  The deputy investigating is looking for witnesses or clues to who might have done this.  It may sound like it was a fun way for some kids to spend the evening but it was also vandalism which can result in misdemeanor charges.  So was it some of the kids from Elmwood or Murdock?  Were they from another town just looking for some fun?  I don't know but I wish they would catch them and sentence them to mowing the lawns all summer of everyone they hit with eggs.  That's fair...they hit so many cars that they should be busy from sun up to sun down all summer long!  That will keep them busy!
