Wall of Remembrance
The Wall of Remembrance was on display last week at the Elmwood Murdock High School. It is a 40 foot long memorial of photos and other memorabilia of those from Nebraska who died in military service while fighting the “War of Terror.” This is a moving tribute to those 80 Nebraskans who have made the ultimate sacrifice serving our nation in the “War of Terror” since September 11, 2001. Colonel Tom Brewer met with several classes to talk with them about the wall and the people on the wall. It s a very moving tribute...no pun intended.

Brittnee Doll made her senior project presentation to me, Mr. Shrader, and Mrs. Schmidt. Brittnee would like to be a historian so she built a time capsule to hold precious items donated by her classmates that represent what they want to remember from their senior year. After graduation the time capsule will be sealed and stored until their 20th class reunion. Brittnee is relieved to have this presentation over and anxious to get started on the next chapter of her life. Go, Brittnee! Love that girl!

Lofte Theatre Scholarship Applications
The Lofte Community Theatre in Manley is currently accepting applications from high school seniors for the Lofte's 2013 scholarship award. Any graduating senior with plans to continue their education and has volunteered at the Lofte (acting, ushering, construction, etc.) may apply.
The scholarship application is listed on the Lofte's website (www.Lofte.com) under the 'Information' tab.
