WHO'S A WARRIOR?

Miki Bruns, Darah Offner, Susan Ernst, Kathy Hauschild, and Shannon Josoff are!
The Warrior Dash was held at Cedar Creek last weekend. Over 20,000 people signed up to participate in the Dash. Over a 2 day period hundreds of people were released at a time to make the run. The 3.3 mile run included 12 obstacles that had to be overcome to finish. They included mud, water, hills, barbed wire, fire, and more.

Murdock's 4th of July Celebration is coming up!
Be ready for a day full of fun! Details will be coming! For sure we know there will be the Dillon Synovec Annual run and the parade. There will be fun on Main Street for everyone after the parade. Free watermelon, bounce house, kids games, etc...
PARADE: line up at EM school at 10am. Start at 11am.
Cash prizes for best float and antique/classic vehicles - $80 each! Prizes sponsored by Corn Growers State Bank and Oxbow Animal Nutrition.
PLEASE NOTE: because of 2 close calls of kids being hit by parade entries last year, we are asking for those who plan to throw candy, to walk beside their floats and toss.. We want to be as safe as we can be!

Garage Sale Day Was HOT with Lots of Bargains
This was voted the Funnest Garage Sale. It had a bounce house!
The 4th Street Market had a good sale going on.
The Romero kids ran a lemonade stand in front of the Heartland Flooring Center.
Quentin helped sell remnants.
There was a lot to choose from.
The cheerleaders had a carwash...at the carwash.
They were pretty aggressive!
Sheridan was chief car washer for my car.
The FBLA kids had food and items for sale.

Three Important Events within 11 days at the Murdock United Methodist Church
Please put the dates of June 17, June 24 and June 27 on your calendar and plan to attend to hear special speakers on each date.
On Sun., June 24 you are invited to attend the 9:30 a.m. worship service in Murdock to hear the Nebraska United Methodist Church Bishop share about her work. Bishop Anne Sherer-Simpson served churches in Texas, was a Bishop in Missouri before coming to Nebraska 8 years ago.
A VBS Meeting
The Community Vacation Bible School will held July 9-13 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Murdock. Those interested in helping with this VBS are invited to come to a planning meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Murdock Church.
A Missionary Will Speak
A missionary who serves in Costa Rica will share about her work during the 9:30 a.m. worship service at the Murdock United Methodist Church and during the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the Elmwood United Methodist Church. Becky Harrell will tell about her work in Costa Rica where she is the public relations person for a Biblical Seminary that trains ministers and community workers. Anyone is welcome to attend these worship services.
Another Missionary Will Speak
John Elmore is a United Methodist missionary serving in Central Chile. John will be sharing about his work on Wed., June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Murdock United Methodist Church. Mr. Elmore works with volunteers when they come to Chile to work in remodeling buildings at an old agricultural school to make them into a Conference Center.
