ORDER YOUR EASTER HAMS NOW!!!!
Chris Cramer at the The Elmwood Meat Plant is ready to take your order! The Elmwood Meat Plant is a Fourth Generation Custom Butcher Shop. The Nebraska Association of Meat Processors chose the Elmwood Meat Plant as having Grand Champion Products in 2011. Their Salami is a 2010 Grand Champion. They offer meat for the grill, summer sausage/salami, sausage, jerky, snack sticks, and more. Besides having choice meats they provide beef, pork, and deer processing and catering. During deer season this is a very popular place not just with local hunters but the Elmwood Meat Plant's reputation reaches far and wide. Hunters come from all over to have their deer processed here.
The Elmwood Meat Plant has meat packaged for sale so we can get fresh meat for barbequing! Right inside their door is a freezer full of delicious options. There is no need to run to town for meat...just stop in the Elmwood Meat Plant! Order a side of beef or pork for your freezer! This is the perfect time to order your Easter Ham, too!
Chris and Tammy Cramer are the owners of the Elmwood Meat Plant. They employ local people and really are a valuable asset to our community. They are always very generous and willing to donate to local events. The Elmwood Meat Plant donates sausage links for the EMMA Pancake Feed every year. Anyone will tell you that the pancakes are good but they mostly come for the sausage! They also donate the Easter Hams that EMMA raffles off at the Pancake Feed.
If you would like more information about the Elmwood Meat Plant please contact them at (402)994-5655. The address is 144 1/2 N 4th Street in Elmwood. That is an odd address. That's because the Elmwood Meat Plant is located on the rear side of the buildings on Main Street. If you go down the alley by the Village office or the US Post Office you will find the Elmwood Meat Plant on the east side of the alley. The website for the Elmwood Meat Plant is www.elmwoodmeatplant.com.

Progress on the grain bin. It is getting taller. Just like kids it doesn't look different when you see it every day but it is getting taller!

Could it be a sign of spring when the pink flamingos start to appear?
Or the daffodils? More signs of spring to come next week!

Puppies! Puppies for Sale!!! These are Great Dane crossed with.....welll, let's just say it was a brief romance. There were 10 puppies in the litter and there are only six left for adoption. Three black and three brindle. My friend adopted the two in the picture below and is just in love with them. She said they have a great personality and are very smart. If you are interested in the puppies contact Kody at 308-991-7242 or Katie at 308-991-2256. Speaking from experience...Great Danes are awesome!

This is Buddy and Jasmine. They have already been adopted but their siblings are still waiting for a loving family! Vince already told me NO! I know he is right but if you adopted one then we could come and visit! Stay tuned next week for a great story about a local dog trainer who has saved our family!
Speaking of dogs...Sunday Kabbie Mumford and I attended the Greater Lincoln Obedience Club Doggie Carnival in Lincoln. Of course we took Zoey. Zoey is my 9 month old Great Dane. She had a wonderful time. She had her nails done, made a doggie paw print painting and participated in several games. Her favorite game was the Doggie Cupcake Walk. I'm not sure it was planned this way but when the music started and we began walking our dogs in a big circle the dogs were nose to hind end with each other. They loved it! Zoey was following a standard size poodle that was trimmed in classic poodle fashion. She thought she had made a new best friend! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures because it is rather difficult to try to hold on to a Great Dane who is overly distracted by so many dogs and try to take pictures at the same time!
Kabbie decorated a bandana for Zoey.
