4th Street Market Grand Opening

 4th_Group

The ribbon cutting for the 4th Street Market Grand Opening was Saturday morning.  Elmwood Murdock Merchants' Association president, Kurk Shrader held one end of the ribbon while EMMA Secretary, Bonnie Brewer, held the other.  Deb cut the ribbon while Coleman held the ceremonial first dollar of profit from EMMA.  Kris Shrader, Carae Oehlerking (Lenz's daughter), and Linda and Doug Allen looked on.

Bill

For my readers down in southeast Nebraska, do you recognize this guy?  He has promised for 10 years to come and visit us and he finally did on Sunday!  Give up?

Vince_and_Bill

Dr. Bill Bucy!  I bet he's the only dentist to make house calls to remind his patient it's time for a cleaning!  Vince built Bill a garage very similar to ours so Bill was interested to see how Vince made a garage for himself compared to his.  Bill was really impressed with Elmwood...thought it was a very cool town.  And he is right!

Lincoln Children's Zoo is packed with fun!

zoo_Girls

Bridget, Millie, Raynee, and I met up with Kalee at the Zoo.  Kalee works in the Critter Coral.  She's been working there for about 5 years and has seniority...which means she gets paid and she gets to tell the younger kids to pick up the poo.

zoo_raynee_horse

Raynee loved the horses, too.

zoo_bridget_butterfly_wings

Bridget became a butterfly for a minute.

If you haven't been to the Lincoln Children's Zoo I highly recommend it.  There are hands on activities for

the kids.  They can pet some of the animals.  And it is just a good time!
