It's Fair WEEK!!!

Can you tell I'm excited? It's my favorite time of the year. Many of you may not remember, but I used to work in the Murdock feed department at Greenwood Farmers Coop. I worked the fair booth all week. Part of my job was to support our beef and cattle producers, and it was NOT work to watch the livestock shows.

Now I spend every day at the Cass County Fair slinging tea at the Tea Toad. Oh, I do leave occasionally to grab some free corn-on-the-cob and support the local food vendors. I have my favorite at each church booth.

I used to enter the open class division with photography, crafts and flowers, I just haven't had the time lately. For August I will be highlighting local winners and entries. If you would like to show off your creations please send me a photo and email to editor@elmwoodnebraska.com

Public Notices for Elmwood Nebraska, can now be viewed online at Voice News Nebraska

Elmwood Village Board Meetings are ONCE a month on the FIRST Wednesday of every month.

The meetings are held at the new Village Board office located at the Learning Center on the south side of town.

Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.

The agenda is posted at the Elmwood C-Store, the post office, and the Village office.

Minutes can be viewed at the Village office or can be found online.
