Murdock 4th of July Celebration!!
I love seeing so many people lining the street in Murdock every year during the 4th of July Parade. It is a time I get to be a Grandma and spoil my grandkids. 
It's amazing how this has become an annual tradition for so many families.
For me my daughter and her kids visit from Indiana and she really looks forward to seeing friends she grew up with and shaped her youth.
It's fun to see another generation of kids catching candy, ice pops, and even hot dogs this year. 
The 4-H petting zoo before the parade was very popular and kids got to cuddle soft fuzzy bunnies and learn about chickens, ducks, goats, and rabbits.

Manley, Neb. - The Lofte Community Theatre will open Beauty and the Beast, July 20th, 2024. The show will run through August 4th with performances Thursday through Sunday, with Sunday performances at 2 PM. Synopsis: "Tale as old as time..." This enchanting story follows the kind and bookish Belle as she discovers an enchanted castle inhabited by a Beast under a powerful spell. About The Lofte Community Theatre: The Lofte Community Theatre is located in Manley Nebraska, approximately 25 minutes south of Omaha. The theatre, a new post-and-beam style performing arts facility can seat approximately 330 patrons for each performance. Actors and audience members enjoy a beautiful climate-controlled venue year-round with concessions offered.

E-M Knights Earn National Honors at FBLA Conference
Elmwood-Murdock FBLA was elated to secure two awards at the 2024 National Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL this summer from June 27 – July 3.
Fifteen students competed in the national competition. Jordan Vogler placed 10th in the ClientService event and Logan Sillman was recognized for completing the National Business
Achievement Award Capstone Project.

Effective 5/2/2024, the Village Board of Elmwood is implementing
Updated water restrictions to better manage our water resources.
Watering Schedule:
Odd Number Addresses: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday
Even Number Addresses: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday
We understand that these restrictions may pose an inconvenience, but it's crucial that we collectively contribute to conserving and safeguarding our water sources.
These restrictions specifically apply to using water on grass/lawns via sprinklers and/or underground sprinkler systems. All other types of water usage are permitted.
Penalties for Non-Compliance:
1st Offense: Written Warning
2nd Offense: $150 fine
3rd Offense: $300 fine
4th Offense: Water shutoff
These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

ATTENTION Change as of 2023
Elmwood Village Board Meetings are ONCE a month on the FIRST Wednesday of every month.
The meetings are held at the new Village Board office located at the Learning Center on the south side of town.
Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.
The agenda is posted at the Elmwood C-Store, the post office, and the Village office.
Minutes can be viewed at the Village office or can be found online.
Wouldn't it be amazing if the board meetings were FULL every time? This is your opportunity to be involved, be "in the know" and learn how to influence how your community grows, how improvements can be made, and how you can participate in the steps needed to MAKE IT HAPPEN.
