We invite you to become one of the founding members of the ECF. As an added benefit, if you submit your dues from November 29, 2022, through January 5, 2023, a portion of your donation will be eligible for Midlands Community Foundation’s matching funds. This will enable us to accomplish several goals in 2023:
• Update the Learning Center bathroom to be ADA compliant
• Secure renovation plans for the future of the Learning Center
• Start interior renovations of the Learning Center
• Add Community Programming for patrons
• Increase grant opportunities for local nonprofits
The 2023 goals will add to the accomplishments we were able to achieve during the past year as a result of generous gifts to the ECF:
• Added heating & air conditioning to the Learning Center
• Provided programming for community patrons
• Offered $1,000 in grants to other nonprofits in the community
All members will receive a 2023 Elmwood Community calendar and a copy of our online newsletter. In addition, all membership donations are 100% tax deductible.

Village Board Meeting
Board meetings are open to the public and are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
The meetings are held at the new Village Board office located at the Learning Center on the south side of town.
Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.
The agenda is posted at the Elmwood C-Store, the post office, and the Village office.
Minutes can be viewed at the Village office or can be found online.
Wouldn't it be amazing if the board meetings were FULL every time? This is your opportunity to be involved, be "in the know" and learn how to influence how your community grows, how improvements can be made, and how you can participate in the steps needed to MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I've attached a flier about a Syracuse, NE family needing medical help. The husband, Eric Fass, was injured at the Otoe county fair 15 months ago resulting in a TBI & his throat & airway collapsing. His wife, Amanda, needs to return to work SOON to keep their health insurance.
They are looking for an RN or LPN with tracheostomy experience to come to their home southwest of Syracuse & care for Eric M-F 7:30 am - 5 pm. Since Eric is now on Medicaid, the RN or LPN needs to be employed by Maxim Healthcare. Eric uses an electrolarynx to speak, has a good mind, & is a fighter to get better for his family.
He hopes to return to farming & being a Syracuse volunteer fireman. I am helping spread the word about the Fass family's needs. I wondered if Scott or you or anyone you know might be interested. I thought it might work for a medical/RN student.
