Did you Have a Happy 4th of July?
We didn't have the traditional Murdock parade, but hundreds showed up for the fireworks at the ball field.

I swear they were bigger and better than last year. A big thank you to John Stroy and his crew for putting on a great show with patriotic music.
Here is just a small snippet of what you may have missed. The show lasted over 30 minutes and was fantastic. To make sure to have this tradition continue you can donate to the Fireworks fund for next year at CornGrowers State Bank in Murdock.

I spent the weekend camping at Louisville SRA and from our campsite, we could see four American flags. Sometimes it's not how far you go to get away, but just the act of getting away.

With a lot of the pools in Omaha and the area closed the beach was packed. But the water was great!
We are so lucky in Cass County to have so many options for entertainment.
Lions Club Peaches & Pears
Another tradition you may have missed it the Lion Club peaches and pear sale. You can still order during the month of July. Don't forget.

Name Your Fitness Challenge

Name your challenge!!!
To start the challenge, you must enter your name and goal on the team tracker.
Each day you will update the tracker if you make your goal.
Examples-
1. Walk for 60 minutes each day. Or
2. Any fitness activity each day for 45 minutes (yoga, basketball, running, walking, rowing, etc) Or
3. Bike for 1 hour at least 3 times a week
I will review everyone’s goals and try to have fun events during the challenge to keep people moving. Example-social distance walking night, possibly yoga in the park(if I can arrange it), a taco ride night, etc.
How to get started? Join the Facebook Group or contact Nicole Hoffman.
Quilt Show
One of our local forms of entertainment is the Bess Streeter Aldrich House.
Don't miss the summer quilt show that runs through the end of August.

Bring a friend, bring your mask and view these beautiful locally made quilts.

Elmwood Farmers Market
The 4th of July edition of the Farmers Market had three new vendors. This is wonderful!! Jewelry and hair clips were added, an egg vendor, and gift booth.

Julie and Joe were back with over 12 dozen ears of corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, and other fruits and veggies.

We even had a new young egg vendor. Complete with an information sign.

Jennifer was there her daughter with I believe Swedish baked bread/danish, homegrown veggies, and snacks. All proceeds going to future college funds.
MAKE SURE TO COME OUT THIS SATURDAY
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL FIND
For the latest news from our vendors

We can always use more vendors. More vendors attract more people. More people mean more vendors, more vendors mean more variety!!
More variety means you can do more of your shopping local instead of the "box" stores.
Join our Facebook group and stay up to date on who will be showcasing their produce, baked goods, and other items. Ask if anyone is bringing eggs, honey, cinnamon rolls.
