Elmwood Farmers Market
What a turnout! What variety.

Karen brought quite the variety, asparagus, salsa, granola bars and chokecherry jam. Yum yum!!

There was spinach, Bib lettuce and blueberry muffins and double berry mini loaves.

Both Patti and Carla brought farm fresh eggs and I'm pretty sure they both sold out. Buying local has it's advantages. You are supporting local, AND eating healthier.

We had requests for mint, cinnamon rolls, and yes even more honey. Honeycomb specifically.

We can always use more vendors. More vendors attract more people. More people mean more vendors, more vendors mean more variety!!
More variety means you can do more of your shopping local instead of the "box" stores.
Join our Facebook group and stay up to date on who will be showcasing their produce, baked goods, and other items. Ask if anyone is bringing eggs, honey, cinnamon rolls.
We are NEEDING a Produce Vendor
What does this mean? This is a person who makes a "farmers market" distributor run to pick up produce from "truck farm" wholesalers and then sell it at the Elmwood Farmers Market.
Not everything is in season from our local gardens, but larger produce farms in Nebraska have greenhouses and then route in-season vegetables from other states, Kansas, Oklahoma, etc.
It may not be grown in Elmwood, but it is US and Midwest grown so customers are still buying fresher than in the grocery stores.
We had requests for tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables.
If you can commit to every Saturday this summer you WILL have customers.
The Elmwood Library is open again. Regular hours with just a few adjustments for social distancing.

It's Official.
Bits & Pieces has been in business for 25 years!!
Because of amazing customers, generous donators, many volunteers, a faithful church family at Elmwood Christian Church, and a GOD who helped us recognize that a church fire was a beginning, not an end. And yes, it does take a village.
Thank you for all the support over the years.

Zero Hour - Cass Local - Listen Audio
The Corona $1200 checks, are starting to arrive this week. We know that some fortunate Nebraskans are not desperate and might consider helping struggling small businesses, Churches and Non-Profit organizations with a donation or better yet buying Gift Cards. We encourage restaurants, bars, basically any small businesses to get a Gift Card account from companies like Square. This is a convenient way for fortunate Nebraskan's to inject life saving cash into the business, in echange for Goods and Services later when the storm passes. None of this is possible, unless you add your business or Organization to www.CassLocal.com free. Any questions? TEXT VM/402-968-0821
