Board of Trustees Regular Meeting

January 18, 2017

The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in Regular Session with Trustees Anderson, Krass, Baer, Hovick and Chairperson Wray presiding. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Chairperson Wray declared the “Open Meeting Act” posted. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Visitor present: Ben Kastens.

Motion by Anderson to approve the minutes of the January 4, 2017 Regular Board Meeting as presented; second by Hovick. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved.

REPORTS OF BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES: Streets: Ice removal on streets with chips and icemelt. Park: The Nebraska Game & Parks Commission has identified Elmwood as a finalist for a park improvement grant. Library: No Report. Water: Dec Water Usage Report: Pumped 1,491,000; Treated 1,348,000; Wasted Through RO 143,000; Average Nitrates 4.9; Average Daily Usage 48,000. Sewer: Testing WNL. Planning/Zoning: No Report. To-Do List: The addition of Brody Baer as an alternate Safety Committee member.

Unfinished Business: Discussion regarding obtaining Economic Development Leadership status and creating an Elmwood Vision Committee consisting of board members and the public.

New Business: December Treasurer’s Report.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:13 p.m.
