Board of Trustees Regular Meeting w/Zoning Hearing – May 7, 2014
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in Regular Session in addition to a Zoning Hearing with Trustees Allgayer, Clements, Ernst, Ronhovde and Chairman Wilhelm presiding. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Chairman Wilhelm declared the “Open Meeting Act” posted. Visitors present:
Arlo Fleischman, Pat Beckmann, Ross Lawrence, Teresa Stubbendeck, Gonzalo Romero,
Andy Harpenau, Terry Webb, Rachel Smith, M Miller. Others present were Ed Blunt and Connie Carlton.
Motion by Clements to approve the minutes of the April 16, 2014 Board Meeting as presented; second by Allgayer. Vote: Yes: All; No: None. Motion carried.
Streets: No Report. Park: No Report. Library: Motion by Ronhovde to approve the council report dated April 1-30; second by Clements. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried. Water: Water pumped 1,870.000 gallons; treated 1,643,000; difference -227,000. Maintenance Supervisor attended Class 3 Water Certification Classes. Sewer: UV lights installed.

Unfinished Business: Chairman Wilhelm opened the Zoning Change Hearing at 9:05 p.m. The final reading of Ordinance#2014-318 was heard. The hearing was closed at 9.07 p.m. Motion by Ernst to accept Ordinance 2014-318; second by Allgayer. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried. Dog license and kennel permit increases proposed for 2015. No action taken. D St Drainage Project #131163: Motion by Ronhovde to approve proceeding with advertising of bids for Project #131163, as amended to approve current project contingent upon utility easements from property owners; second by Clements. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved. Curb cuts: Motion by Ronhovde to approve the curb cut for 201 West C, Lot 13-14 w/$500.00 deposit to Village w/additional insured cert prior to curb cut; second by Ernst. Vote: Yes: All, No: None; motion carried.
New Business: Andy Harpenau w/Gretna Sanitation discussed yearly tree grinding at Village tree dump site. No action taken. Motion by Allgayer to approve the building permit appli-
cation for 513 North 4th Street; second by Clements. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried.
Dog kennel applications received for 112 East C St, 104 West C St, and 216 West E St. Motion by Ronhovde to approve the kennel permit for 112 Easts C St; second by Allgayer. RCV: Allgayer: No, Clements: No, Ronhovde: Yes, Ernst: Yes, Wilhelm: Yes. Motion approved. Motion by Allgayer to approve the kennel permit for 104 West C St; second by Ronhovde.
