Village of Elmwood
July 7, 2011
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Ronhovde, Clymer, Allgayer and Chairman Ernst presiding. Blunt was absent. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”.
Chairman Ernst declared the Open Meeting Act Posted. Pat Wray, Jason Williams, Mike Krass, Shannon Jossoff, Eugenia Bornemeier and Becky vonRentzell were also in attendance.
Minutes from the meeting on 6/16/11 were presented. Ronhovde requested to amend the minutes to include the Village agreed not to exceed $3,500 in shared drainage costs with the school. Ronhovde also noted there was no discussion of unfinished business. Motioned by Allgayer, 2nd by Ronhovde to approve the minutes as amended. Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: Blunt.
Reports
Streets: John Bruns is working on a quote to repair the gutter on 4th and G Street. Clint Bornemeier is painting the ADA ramps on the new sidewalks.
Park: Ronhovde requested to have Clint spray the bike path for weeds.
Library: No Action Taken.
Water: The tower has been repaired and samples are at the lab.
Comp & Zoning: Public hearing will be set for 7/21/11 regarding possibility of re-zoning Block 31 from residential to industrial. Curt Wilhelm and Robert Pegler names were presented by the Comp and Zoning Board for approval to serve on the board. Motioned by Ronhovde, 2nd by Allgayer to approve Wilhelm and Pegler to serve on the Comp and Zoning Board. Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: Blunt.
Planning Committee: No Action Taken.
Community Development: No Action Taken.
Elmwood’s 125th Birthday Celebration Committee: No Action Taken.

Unfinished Business: Mike Krass requested to vacate the alley behind his house. Ernst and Allgayer volunteered to attend the E-M School Board meeting in regards to their intents for the property. Discussion of Pat Wray’s drainage issues. Motioned by Ronhovde, 2nd by Allgayer to agree to pay half of the cost of the new drainage tube not to exceed $150.00. New Business: Shannon Jossoff requested a permanent Class C liquor license for Jossoff’s Social Hall and Event Center. Their intent is to sell liquor only at special events. RCV: Aye: Allgayer, Ronhovde and Ernst.

Personnel Issues: Pat Wray inquired why Ed and Jacob Blunt were seen on several occasions driving the Village truck. Ernst explained the Village does not have a maintenance person and there is still work to do.
