REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Meeting Held at Elmwood Village Office
The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Vice Chairperson Miki Bruns called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Bruns stated that a current copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act was posted.
Roll Call: was answered by Becky Kicak, Renee Holland, Heather Scott & Miki Bruns. Absent: Jared Blunt
Minutes: Holland made a motion, second by Kicak to approve meeting minutes from July 6,2022. RCV: Yes Approved 4-0
Claims and payroll: Kicak made a motion, 2nd by Scott to approve claims & payroll for July 19, 2022. RCV: Yes: Approved 4-0

New Business
Discussion/Action New pickup and snow blade
Board said that Ed can get prices for a basic model pickup that has the capability to hook up to a plow.
Ed will price out a pickup from Copples and Woodhouse in Plattsmouth.
Discussion/Action New lawnmower
Ed reported to the board that Dixon no longer makes replacement parts, so it is time to look into trading in the lawn mower. Board asked Ed to price a commercial lawnmower. Ed will price out a lawnmower at John Deere and Ty’s Outdoors.
Discussion/Action Harvest Moon Hustle
Harvest Moon Hustle will be September 9,2022
Discussion/Action Well meter bid from Core & Main
Ed has been waiting on Well 5 pump and now we need a new pump for well 3. Motion by Holland to purchase new meters for well 3 & 5, second by Scott. RCV: YES: Approved 4-0
Discussion/Action Employee wages & stipend – Ordinance 2022-1
Motion by Holland to waive the 3 readings, second by Kicak. RCV: YES: Approved 4-0

Scott made a motion to approve Ordinance 2022-1, second by Holland. RCV: YES: Approved 4-0
Discussion/Action QuickBooks Online through TACSS
Bruns recommended to the board that the Village goes through a QuickBooks Administrator with the company TACSS. Bruns has went through the process of converting over to QuickBooks Online through this secure company and they make sure that everything is transferred over without any errors. Motion by Holland, second by Scott to approve TACSS to be our QuickBooks Administrator, second by Kicak. RCV: YES: Approved 4-0
Unfinished Business
Discussion/Action Nuisance Homes
Motion by Holland, second by Scott to send certified letters to the 7 nuisance properties that were reported at the meeting.
Discussion/Action Tree Bids for 313 N 3rd Street & Park
Motion by Holland, second by Kicak to approve the bid from Christensen Tree Service if they can come before September 30th to cut the trees down on 313 N 3rd Street & Park for $5,560. RCV: YES: Approved 4-0
Discussion/Action Rocking the whole Alley where culvert was installed
No Action taken. Ed will get a quote to rock it.
Reports/Boards, Commissions, and Committees
Library: Ed fixed the light bulbs in the library that were out and will be putting the new bulbs in the Exit signs.
Park: Re-visit the flagpole in the park request.
Street: Levi is painting parking lines around town still and Ed will talk to the Community Center so that Levi can get those parking lines painted on main street.
Water: No Report
Sewer: #4 Jet pump went down again but is still under warranty and HTM go it fixed.
Planning/Zoning: Next meeting is August 15,2022 at 7:00pm.
