School’s Out! School’s Out!
Teachers let the Mules out!
Can you believe that school is out this week? Today to be exact. The construction on the school can begin without the kids watching too close. I’m sure there will be many curious kids watching from afar. The ground breaking ceremonies were held Monday but I missed it! We will eagerly watch the progress this summer and everyone…except the kids, is looking forward to August 15th, the first day of school! It will be here before you know it!
Information regarding the Elmwood-Murdock Golf Camp (June 16-18th) is available in the Elementary office or on the school website (HS/Activties/Golf/Documents). Grandpa’s Woods will also be offering a junior golf league. Contact Grandpa’s woods (994-2100) for more information.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
And dance they did. Have you been curious about the dance lessons we have here? Well, you can learn line dancing, swing dancing, the dance to Crank that, the Macarena, the Hustle, the Cha Cha Slide and the two step.
Here are some pictures of our dance instructors, Heath and Tiffany. And also some of the dancers. Corey is on Dad duty and is entertaining his girls.
The kids had a lot of silly fun this weekend. If you are ever curious about what goes on here, please stop in and see. We have a blast!
It was moving day at our house last weekend…Christina, our basement dweller, found her first apartment in Lincoln and took the big step. Lucky for us her new apartment comes with three pools, a tennis court, a tanning bed, and a work out facility. I think we’ll be visiting often. It was quite and adventure to go apartment hunting with her. I have not looked at the apartments in Lincoln before. There are some really nice ones and some real dives. I wish Christina well and know that we will be spending a lot of time at her place!
The New Sign & Screen…
Merl and Deb Merchant purchased the former Sign & Screen shop from Lou and Suzie Allgayer and moved it into their building on main street. They remodeled the attached building next door and have moved some of the equipment into there. See the picture below of the gang moving one of the work tables from the old building into its new location. They have some office space available for potential renters unless they run out of space themselves! They plan to expand the shirt business along with making signs. Stop in if you want a tour or need to have some signs or shirts made. They also make hats! Don’t forget about the computer side of the house! Merl plans on maintaining the computer business, too. Congratulations to the Merchants! Thanks for keeping the business in
I stopped into Big Dan’s Video and Body Shop to check their progress and schedule an oil change. They have most of the movies organized and put away. In fact, they had one of their youngest customers there when I stopped in. Allie and Grandpa Paul stopped by to check out Big Dan’s, too. I wonder if she got the Barney movie? That was one of my favorites! Big Dan and I talked about the paint job on his building. I think we can jazz it up a bit for him. Now you have something to look forward to!
RINK IS CLOSED MEMORIAL WEEKEND! We are painting, constructing, and cleaning. Come back next week and check us out!
Be safe and have a great weekend!
