Drive-by of progress on city building

One minute there is a building standing on main street in Elmwood. The next minute there is an empty lot. Soon there will be a new building standing there. Then Dan will have a place to store his equipment for taking care of city business.

Feeling Compassionate? Feeling Like Helping Out?
Want to Make a Difference to Someone?
Do you like cats?

Then you could adopt Mia! Mia moved in with a friend of mine without permission but Tami couldn’t kick her out. She had long fur and it was incredibly matted. She had sores and needed attention. Tami took her to the vet and had her treated. Part of the treatment was to shave her. Since Tami already has several cats she can’t keep Mia. So she’s looking for a good home for her. She is a very loving cat and loves people. If you are interested in adopting Mia contact me and I’ll hook you up. These pictures are a bit scary but the hair will grow out!

Happy Birthday, Danni!

Danni Barkhurst and many of her closest friends descended on the rink Saturday morning for a birthday luau. Danni’s 9th birthday will long be remembered!

Shay and Jordyn help spread the dandelion seeds!
I don’t think the dandelions really needed help but the girls had fun trying. Jordyn couldn’t figure out how to blow so she just put the whole thing in her mouth.

Speaking of the Campbells…
Jordyn is now official…she can get mail. Their mailbox has been updated so the mail lady can bring Jordyn mail.

Joe’s Surgery Goes Good!

Thanks to everyone for your concern, your cards, and your prayers. Joe had his shunt revised and the tube has been replaced. He has a few incisions that are healing nicely. The doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital were wonderful. The facility was top notch. We had our own room with our own bathroom. Joe and I dozed off and on all day. It was really nice. This is the only picture I got of Joe in the hospital. He wouldn’t let me take any more.

Newsletter News
Betty Boop, our loyal puppy, sits with me every week as I write the newsletter. Sometimes it takes me hours to put it together and she is by my side the whole time. All the readers of the newsletter are dedicated, too. We are at a point though where the newsletter needs sponsors in order to continue. If a principal sponsor is found the newsletter can continue their business ad will be displayed prominently at the top of the webpage. We can also update the software to make the page better, similar to Unadilla’s webpage. . If you are interested in being a sponsor, contact John Harrington at He would love to talk to you about this!

The Elmwood-Murdock High School Choir will be taking off for Carnegie Hall on Wednesday, May 20th. Look Out New York…here we come!!! (Did I tell you I get to go? We are going to see Mary Poppins on Broadway! My absolute favorite!)

Take care and enjoy the nice weather!
