World-Class Entertainers at the Lofte

What do you get when you cross world-class juggling talent with family friendly comedy? The answer is, the Gizmo Guys!

Allan Jacobs and Barrett Felker have amazed and amused audiences around the world. The Gizmo Guys have strutted their stuff in places as diverse as Saudi Arabia and Japan and have taught juggling at the renowned French and Canadian National Circus Schools .    But,   what makes their act so appealing is their combination of technique and infectious humor. The Gizmo Guys' rapid-fire act inspires sidesplitting laughter in audience members of all ages.

The Gizmo Guys are based out of New York City , but have visited Nebraska several times in the past. Most recently they performed at Lincoln 's Lied Center for the Performing Arts in 2007 and treated a sell-out crowd to their special brand of family entertainment.

The Gizmo Guys will be performing at the Lofte on Friday, May 8th at 7:00pm . Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children   ages 12 and under. Their show generally runs about an hour.

Everyone from age 0-100 is encouraged to join us for this fun-filled evening. Bring the kids. Bring Grandma and Grandpa. The whole family will have fond memories of this one!

The Gizmo Guys, Allan Jacobs and Barrett Felker will perform for one night only at the Lofte Community Theatre in Manley on Friday, May 8th.

Personal Note about Boot Camp…

I joined Annette's boot camp Saturday morning and it didn't suck. She promised that it would be a good work out and if I didn't hurt when I sat down then she hadn't done her job. Let me tell you…she did her job. I had to drive to Columbus afte the work out and I could barely get out of the car. Then Sunday morning when it was time to climb out of bed my body revolted. It took a long time in the shower under the hot pelting water to loosen up my muscles. She had a circuit work out for us. About 7 women showed up for this session…I promised not to take pictures…and we jumped, stretched, lunged, and moved for almost an hour. I couldn't do everything she had for us but I did what I could and I know the more I do it the better I'll get. We won't always meet at the rink. Maybe the park, maybe the track…who knows what Annette has up her sleeve. If you think you might want to try come on down! Everyone works at their own pace and no one makes fun of you! That's really cool. We won't always meet at the rink. Maybe the park, maybe the track…who knows what Annette has up her sleeve. Whatever it is I know it will be fun and it will be a work out.

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR ELEMENTARY!!!!

School's Out, School's Out, Teachers let the Mules Out!

What will your kids do this summer? Camp, sleepovers, fishing, and skating! The rink will be open Tuesday and Thursdays starting Tuesday, May 26 th . Tuesdays will be regular skating and games and Thursdays will also include an extra activity such as making a piñata, Birthday party for everyone, and balloon day.

We will also be open Saturday nights! Due to the wonderful weather, the lure of garage sales, and summer sports we usually end up being closed on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings. There will be some Sundays that we will be open so you'll just have to watch our window for signs and check out the website. We will continue to be open on Saturday mornings and Sunday nights until the end of May.

We will be closed from June 6 th until June 16 th for maintenance. We are going to redo the floor! If you are bored come on down and help us out! Give me a call!
