Happy New Year from the American Exchange Bank
I just happened to go to the bank during "ugly sweater" day and was not disappointed. What fun!!
They were all gracious enough to pose for a group photo, not just once or twice, but multiple times so we could get the perfect one with everyone in the pic for posterity.
Share your Holiday and New Years photos?
Did you have anyone visit from out of town? A house full?
We did! Eleven people and a total of five dogs came to visit, so if you saw the house rocking this past weekend it was us. David came in from Virginia and Jen and her family from Indiana. Grandbabies, "grandpuppies", wrapping paper, good food, laughs, smiles and love. Yes, the babies below are my twin Grandbabies and it's a selfish plug.
What are your plans for 2018? Is your calendar filling up fast already?
Let's make the Elmwood website a resource for people to go to in 2018. For that, I need your help.
Seriously, I need your help!
How do people find out what is going on in town and the surrounding area? They go to the town website. What activities are happening? This is what I need for the upcoming year
- Church Times of Service, dinners, meetings, Bible study
- Baseball sign updates
- Softball sign updates
- Game Schedules
- Business special events or Open Houses
- 4-H meeting dates (photos from meetings)
- School Accomplishments (high school, college)
- Alumni News
- Holiday Events & photos (Valentines Day, St Patricks Day, Easter)
Let's celebrate the accomplishments and unique news of our community. Do you know someone, a former student or current Elmwood resident who is doing something unique or interesting? Maybe they live in another part of the world? Maybe you know someone who wrote a book? Is doing a college internship internationally.

16th Annual Short Story Contest
Start thinking of ideas for the 16th Annual Bess Streeter Aldrich short story contest.
