All American Cheerleaders from Elmwood Bound for London!!
Kabi Mumford, junior at Elmwood Murdock, and Elyse Drake, sophomore, were selected to be All American Cheerleaders. This is one of the highest awards that an individual can achieve in cheerleading. Each summer at UCA, UDA, NCA, NDA, and USA camps, thousands of cheerleaders and dancers try out for the All-American title, but only 10 percent are chosen!
They will get the opportunity to spend a week in London with the top cheerleaders from around the country and perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade. Throughout the week, they will see many amazing sites including Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament, the British Museum, and Windsor Castle. Participants will also enjoy a night on a Disco cruise on the River Thames, dancing the night away and get to ring in the New Year with 800 of their new friends. What a great opportunity!
The girls need help with their adventure. Both are doing fundraisers to raise the money to pay for their trip. Kabi is making T-shirt bags which are super cute and Elyse is having a Scentsy fundraiser. Those are just examples, both have other projects in the works. They each have a GoFundMe page to help raise money. The links are below if you would like to help them out!

Manley, NE [August 8, 2016] - 2016 marks the Lofte Community Theatre's 40th season. They are celebrating their “Ruby Jubilee" in style with a informal birthday party on Saturday, August 13 at 7:30pm. There is a small admission fee of $5.
The Lofte has grown from a small group of locals who put up a play in a neighbor’s barn to an important regional arts center. Literally thousands of individuals have graced the stage and/or attended one of their events. The Lofte is celebrating their accomplishments with cake, ice cream and loads of quality entertainment. You will see familiar faces from the forty-year history as Lofte alumni treat you to some of your favorite show tunes.
Purchase tickets in advance or at the door. Come and celebrate the theatre's rich history and share the evening with good friends.
Witte Physical Therapy Student of the Week
Message from Dr. Witte:
Again this year Witte Physical Therapy will be honoring a student of week. This student will be selected for the local high schools in Cass County based on submissions by the schools and community leaders. One student will be selected each week and invited to stop by Witte PT for a prize. I am hoping with the help of the newsletters, the Plattsmouth Journal, and other local publications that we can publicly get the word out about these deserving students.
