All American Cheerleaders from Elmwood Bound for London!!
Kabi Mumford, junior at Elmwood Murdock, and Elyse Drake, sophomore, were selected to be All American Cheerleaders. This is one of the highest awards that an individual can achieve in cheerleading. Each summer at UCA, UDA, NCA, NDA, and USA camps, thousands of cheerleaders and dancers try out for the All-American title, but only 10 percent are chosen!
They will get the opportunity to spend a week in London with the top cheerleaders from around the country and perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade. Throughout the week, they will see many amazing sites including Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament, the British Museum, and Windsor Castle. Participants will also enjoy a night on a Disco cruise on the River Thames, dancing the night away and get to ring in the New Year with 800 of their new friends. What a great opportunity!
The girls need help with their adventure. Both are doing fundraisers to raise the money to pay for their trip. Kabi is making T-shirt bags which are super cute and Elyse is having a Scentsy fundraiser. Those are just examples, both have other projects in the works.
