“Leading Ladies” Laugh Riot at Lofte!
Manley, NE [May 20, 2016] - The Lofte Community Theatre will be opening the hilarious comedy, “Leading Ladies” on Friday, June 3 at 7:30pm. Written by Ken Ludwig, this is the story of two down-and-out Shakespearean actors in the 1950s. They come up with the idea to run a con on an aging heiress and pose as her two long-lost relatives. However, they quickly learn that the con must be pulled off as women! This high-energy farce and fast-paced confusion will keep you in stitches. Starring as the two Shakespearean con artists are Joshua P. Smith of Omaha and Scott Seelhoff of Fremont. Also in the production are Brenna Thompson of Lincoln, Kevin Holdorf of Manley, Dan Sedlacek of Papillion, Alexandra Suslow-Geditz of Omaha, and Casey Wagner and Shakeida Bullis both of Bellevue. The show is directed by Kevin Colbert of Weeping Water. Production dates for the show are June 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Curtain times are 7:30pm Thursday through Saturdays. All Sunday performances are 2pm matinees. Tickets are $19 and can be reserved by calling the Lofte box office at 402-234-2553.
