 Big Tree Down

After the storm Sunday night there was quite a bit of damage around town.  People were out cleaning up their yards and taking the rubble down to the grind pit.  It's a good thing Lou pushed the pile together the day before because it made room for all the new brush.  This tree was in the park.  So sad!  It takes a long time to grow a tree this big.

The brush pile is getting tall! Sometime in October or November the grinding company will come and take care of this for us.  Keep bringing your brush and limbs.  No trash!

Bring your kids to the Bubble Soccer event and let them try out the new GaGa Ball Pit!  We will have some balls on hand and the rules for the game.  A lot of kids have already played it in PE so they will know what they are doing.

The Village Office Gets a Face Lift!

Thanks to a grant from Sherwin Williams and help from Keep Cass County Beautiful and more than a few volunteers the Elmwood Village Office has a new paint job.  Well, there are a couple more walls left but for the most part it is looking good!  Thanks to Pat Wray for coordinating the event and to Linda Behrns from Keep Cass County Beautiful for making us aware of the grant.  Thanks to the volunteers, too!  James Doll III, Mason Ritnour, Ethan Heise, and Connor Heise put in several hours in the heat to paint the building.  Lou Allgayer, Curt Wilhelm, Connie Carlton, and I also helped out.  If anyone would like to help finish up meet up at the Village Office on Saturday at 8:00 am.
