Corey Coreys_record

Corey Campbell, Elmwood resident, was among the 13 athletes inducted into the Chadron State College Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday as part of the school's homecoming festivities.

Running back, Corey Campbell, rushed for more than 100 yards in 17 games and concluded his career with 3,258 yards. He was a two-time all-conference and Nebraska Division II honoree and also was a Burger King National Athlete of the Week, earning $25,000 for the college's general scholarship program. In addition, Campbell was a two-time Academic All-American.  The inductions were made during a luncheon Saturday in the CSC Student Center. The new Hall of Fame members also were recognized at halftime of the Eagles' football game with Western New Mexico later that afternoon.

A native of Hemingford, he is a chiropractor at the Nebraska Spine Center in Omaha.  Corey lives in Elmwood with his lovely wife, Brooke, and his two beautiful daughters, Shay and Jordyn.  The family will be welcoming a little football player to the family in January.
