New Playground Equipment at the School a Hit!
The new equipment installed at the elementary school for the preschool age kids was a hit with our kids
this week! The play structure is fenced in to protect the kids and keep them corralled.
Emma and Jordyn stretch out and take a break.
So much to see so much to do...
Shay came whizzing down the slide.
Hang on, Shay!
Around, and around, and around she goes!

Auditions for Fall Farce at the Lofte
The Lofte Community Theatre will be holding auditions for its fall comedy, "Unnecessary Farce," on Monday, September 6 and Tuesday, September 7 at 7pm. No advance preparation is necessary. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Written by Paul Slade Smith, "Unnecessary Farce" is a fast-paced, high energy comedy. An embezzling mayor is trying to schedule a rendezvous with his beautiful assistant. Throw in a couple of undercover cops, a hit man and various other over-the-top characters and you have the recipe for fun.
Artistic Director Kevin Colbert is looking for four men and three women of various ages. Performance dates are Oct 15-17, 22-24, 28-31. Questions about the audition or the production itself may be directed to Kevin Colbert at LofteDirector@Lofte.com, or by calling the Lofte at (402) 234-2553.
Greenblatt & Seay proudly announce the FOURTEENTH ANNUAL SCHOOLHOUSE FIDDLING BEE. This historical, hysterical event will take place on Sunday, October 10, at 2:30 PM, in the auditorium of the Old Avoca, Nebraska Schoolhouse. In the Open Division, fiddlers will play a hoedown, a waltz, and a tune of choice. There will also be other divisions of competition available for the adventurous fiddlers, including a Singing Fiddler's Contest, a Twin Fiddler's Contest, a Fee-Fi-Faux Fiddler's Contest (fiddle tunes played on any instrument other than a fiddle), and a Hocus-Pocus Contest (cross-tuning, sound effects, dancing, etc.), which will give fiddlers an opportunity to play tunes that are usually not allowed in any other contest. The prizes for the winners in the Open Division are $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, and $25 for 3rd place. Prizes will also be awarded for 1st place in the other contests. Registration for contestants starts at 1:30 PM the day of the FIDDLING BEE. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. Fiddlers and their back-ups are admitted for free. Pool Party at our house! Shay, Jordyn, Emma, and Zachary cooled off Sunday in the pool.
Zach made friends with Romeo.
Shay found the kitten to be very lovable.
Hey, I'm 1!?
Jordyn and Emma eat hot dogs and make friends.
Nothing better than a cool pool on a hot day.
Unless it is cotton candy ice cream!
We also got the paints out and painted some pictures.
Zachary was outnumbered by the girls but he was able to hold his own.
Cute as a bug!
Shay was stylin' in these high top lime green shoes!
Hi! This is Ben Willey.
It's time again to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (D.S.A.F.) with the newly named StepUp for Down Syndrome Walk on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Antelope Park in Lincoln.
How can you help? Many different ways! You can donate by credit card on-line by going to Ben's Brigade team page here. You can donate by check made payable to DSAF of NE and send it to The Willey Family at 819 274th Street, Elmwood NE 68349. Our goal this year is to raise $1,000, so any amount will help. But the best way to show your support, is to register and come walk with us on our team Ben's Brigade. My family would love to see you there! To register, click here. Be sure to register by September 3rd to get a free T-shirt with your paid registration!
The D.S.A.F of Nebraska has given Mom and Dad a lot of helpful information and support through my first 2 years of life! This is our ONE and ONLY fund-raiser and the money raised from the StepUp Walk will pay for information for parents and educators, programs for families impacted by Down Syndrome, fun outings for my family, and much more!
The walk is 1 mile around the Children's Zoo but there will be so much more than just the walk! I know they have a lot of fun stuff planned for the kids! Here is a link to the StepUP page on the DSAF website.
Don't forget your donations are 100% tax deductible.
Let's make this walk a successful one!
Thanks for reading. Thanks for donating. Thanks for loving me for me!
Randy, Angie, John and Noah Willey
