I have received information that a radio station in Wayne, Nebraska, will
broadcast the Elmwood Murdock Football game against Ponca on Tuesday,
November 10, 2009, at 6:00pm. The station is KTCH 1590 AM in Wayne. I'm sure
we will not be able to receive their signal here, but they will also be
streaming their broadcast on the internet.
Here are the applicable links.

I thought you might have the best way to share this with local citizens who
may not be able to travel to the game. I am not certain if the game will be
covered on local radio elsewhere.

A Change Will Do You Good...
To all my loyal readers,
I love doing the newsletter as much as you love reading it but there
comes a time when we have to make a change. I'm stepping down
from the newsletter and turning the mouse over to the next generation.
My daughter, Millie, will be taking over and reporting the news for you.
As with everything the next model is always better so I am sure Millie
will do a fine job. Plus, she has me around to offer my advice...because
that's what I do best. We are both looking forward to this and I hope you
will enjoy her spin on things. You have watched her grow for the last two
years into a beautiful young lady. She was a regular in the newsletters
along with everyone else I happened to meet in my everyday life. She
has assured me she will let me contribute stories once in awhile so I'll be
able to stay in touch.
Millie has a lot of good ideas to keep the newsletter interesting. I hope you
will continue to send in your ideas for her, too. Thanks for all the great
feedback you've given me.
I'm sliding sideways into the next chapter in my life...WHOO HOO!!
It's been a great ride so far!
Meet Millie...this is one of my favorite pictures of her with my grandma...
better known as Grandma Cookie.
Hi, my name is Millie Anderson and I am the new editor of the
Elmwood Newsletter. My name probably sounds familiar to you
because my mom was the editor of the newsletter and I was the
feature star in a lot of pictures. My mom is moving on to bigger and
better things like the dishes and the laundry and I'm taking over her
newsletter job. I'll keep you up-to-date on the latest news around town.
Please send me your ideas, stories, pictures, birthday wishes, and
I would love to help you advertise and promote your events. And
tell about them later! My email address is Editor@elmwoodnebraska.com.

Halloween Full of Tricks and Treats!
Bradly Cunningham is home! Fresh back from learning how to
be a Military Police officer. We're glad to see he still likes to have fun.
Two of my favorite people posing with me!
Zachary Baumgard, left, and his mom, Nikki, far right, made tons of spooky cupcakes
and Brain Freezes for the kids at the rink. Beth Hyde, center, brought the witches hats.
Bradly and my mom had a one biting contest with the cupcakes. I'm so embarrassed.
Hannah and Sheridan came dressed at modern day teenage girls! They were the scariest!
Wade Mumford is just too cool.
Ariel just didn't know what to think about the skeleten guarding the ice cream.
Courtney and Roxie cheer on the dodgeballers.
Some Ashland kids mosied on down for a fun time at the rink on Halloween.
Garrett and my mom got into a little dispute over whether he was cheating at
dodgeball. He claims not but mom finally convinced him she was right.
AJ Olson was one winner of the costume contest.
Everyone likes to to the Apache dance...JUMP UP ON IT!!!
Enjoy the Weather Now!
With Elmwood Murdock being in the state football
playoffs football fever is everywhere. Some of my
friends have been playing every chance they get. They
even play in the dark when it's cold!
Do you have someone special having a birthday
that you would like to recognize? If so, send me
their information and your greeting and a picture
if you have one. If your special someone is a kid
let me know and I'll try to sneak a picture of them.
You can also drop the information off at CD's Express.
Everyone who is recognized in the Elmwood Newsletter
can stop down at CD's for a birthday treat anytime the
week they are featured. Their picture and greeting will also
be posted on the wall at CD's for everyone to see. Let's see
how many we can get each week! You can even send a
birthday greeting out to someone who lives far away.
Remember, people from all over the country read the
newsletter! (Hi, Grandma & Grandpa - thanks for the Halloween card!!)
Email your greetings to me at:
