Bloom Where You're Planted Farm

& Pumpkin Patch

Announces New Attractions for Fifth Season

911-108th St., Avoca, NE 68307
Contact: Terry or Teresa Lorensen;

Guests attending the fifth-annual Pumpkin Festival at Bloom Where You're

Planted Farm, rural Avoca, NE, will be treated to some new attractions this season.

The pumpkin patch and agri-entertainment venue has been expanded for 2009 to

include hay rides and the newly renovated Schoolhouse Café.

"For many people, when they think of the ultimate pumpkin patch experience

they envision a hay ride out to the pumpkin field. We are very excited to finally

be able to offer this experience to our customers," say farm owners Terry and

Teresa Lorensen.

A certified concession kitchen has been added to the 1890's one-room schoolhouse

which the Lorensens moved to the farm and restored last year. Guests can order

from the lunch menu which includes hot sandwiches and homemade pie, and then

enjoy their meal at tables in the authentically restored classroom.

"This is a one-of-a-kind dining experience. While we've been serving lunch for the

past three seasons, having a certified kitchen and a building dedicated to the Café

will allow us to better serve our customers, will make work easier for our employees,

and should offer us new opportunities to produce our own baked goods and food mixes

in the future," Teresa Lorensen said.

Bloom Where You're Planted Farm's Pumpkin Festival runs every Friday through

Sunday from September 19th to November 1st. Hours are 1:00-6:00 p.m. Fridays

and 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The farm is open at other times

by appointment for field trips and parties. The $4.00 admission charge includes access

to all the attractions on the farm, including the opportunity for every visitor to take a hay ride.

For a complete schedule of events, which include special days such as Military Family

Weekend, Doggy Day to benefit the Capital Humane Society, and Ag Day with the

Conestoga High School FFA, visit the farm's website, www.BloomPumpkinPatch.com.

The farm is located at 911 - 108th St., rural Avoca, NE; 27 miles east of

Lincoln or 30 miles south of Omaha. Take US Hwy. 34 to 108th Street,

then travel ½ mile north.

The centerpiece of Bloom Where You're Planted Farm is the late 1800s

barn which houses a gift shop, snack counter, and party loft.

A complete lunch menu is now offered in the former Center Hill District 94/105

one-room schoolhouse.

Hi! I'm Ben Willey.

It's time again to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association

for Families of Nebraska (D.S.A.F.) with the 8th annual Capital City

Buddy Walk.

The D.S.A.F of Nebraska has given Mom and Dad a lot of helpful

information and support through out my first 17 months of life!

This is our ONE and ONLY fund-raiser and the money raised from

the Buddy Walk will pay for information for parents and educators,

programs for families impacted by Down Syndrome, fun outings for

my family, and much more!

The Buddy Walk is going to be so fun! It is on Saturday, October 3,

2009 at Antelope Park in Lincoln. Check-in starts at 8:00 am and the

walk starts at 9:30 a.m. The walk is 1 mile around the Children's Zoo

but there will be so much more than just the walk! I know they have

a lot of fun stuff planned for the kids! Click here for the brochure.

How can you help? Many different ways! You can donate on-line

by going to Ben's Brigade team page by clicking here .

Or you can send your donation directly to my Mom or Dad,

and they will post it to our team. But the best way to show your support,

is to register and come walk with us! My family would love to see you there!

To register on-line, click here.

Let's make this walk a successful one! Please forward this to anyone

who might be interested.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for donating.

Thanks for loving me for me!

Dear Tide:

I am writing to say what an excellent product you have. I've

used it all of my married life, as my Mom always told me it was

the best. Now that I am in my fifties I find it even better! In fact,

about a month ago, I spilled some red wine on my new white blouse.

My inconsiderate and uncaring husband started to belittle me about

how clumsy I was, and generally started becoming a pain in the neck.

One thing led to another and somehow I ended up with his blood on

my new white blouse! I grabbed my bottle of Tide with bleach alternative,

to my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out!

In fact, the stains came out so well the detectives who came by yesterday

told me that the DNA tests on my blouse were negative and then my

attorney called and said that I was no longer considered a suspect in

the disappearance of my husband.

What a relief! Going through menopause is bad enough without being a

murder suspect! I thank you, once again, for having a great product.

Well, gotta go, have to write to the Hefty bag people.

House Update...

Vince is making good progress on the house.  The extra long weekend

and the great weather helped out a lot.  We started out the with tons of

plans for the weekend since we took the weekend off from the skating

rink.  It soon became obvious that we were going to hang out at home

working on the house and the kids worked on homework.  AMEX is a

challenging subject!  This is a class for Juniors that gives them an

opportunity to do some projects in English, Music, History, and Art.

If you have kids in high school you've heard of it.  Once they are through

it they are more likely to say they thought it was a good class.  Until

then it is something to be dreaded!

Vince had some help from Brody and Dave to get the window framed in

and installed.  The house is coming together!  Now I'll have to get busy

on the inside!

I'm glad he knows what he's doing...Boop is watching just in case he needs help.

Seriously, I thought they were going to put it in vertical.  Guess not.

Feedback on Last Week's Article:

Thanks for the positive feedback on the article last week about the teens.

Everyone was very supportive.  I hope the teens know how much their

community cares for them. Everyone was concerned for their welfare.

It's time they realize their actions affect everyone.  We talk about them

because we care.
