VILLAGE OF ELMWOOD
Board of Trustees Regular Meeting
June 1, 2016
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in Regular Session with Trustees Allgayer, Anderson, Wray, and Krass present with Chairperson Wilhelm presiding. The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. Chairperson Wilhelm declared the “Open Meeting Act” posted. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Visitors present included: Eugenia Bornemeier, Ryan Anderson, Jack Hovick, and Jean Reinke. Ed Blunt and Connie Carlton were also present.
Motion by Allgayer to approve the minutes of the May 18, 2016 Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees meeting as presented; second by Wray. Vote: Yes: All, No. None. Motion carried.
REPORTS OF BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES: Streets: An estimate by Christiansen Tree Service to remove a tree at 2nd/C Streets was received for $265.00. Park: Motion by Wray to order two loads of chips in addition to two loads of wood mulch for the park; second by Allgayer. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried. Water: Pesticides testing WNL. Sewer: Coliform, composite, sludge tests WNL.
Unfinished Business: 2016-17 Budget Item Lists deadline by June 10th.
New Business: Water drainage at 221 North 6th St – Will discuss at June 15th board meeting.
Presentation of Claims for Payment: Cass County Refuse $65.00 (May 2016 Refuse Service); Emwood Equipment $70.31 (Used Murray 20” mower/trimmer line); Hein Const $2,500.00 (crack fill – streets); NE Public Health Environmental Lab $30.00 (lab testing); NE Dept of Revenue $1,582.62 (Apr 2016 Sales/Use Tax); OPPD $3,051.57 (Apr-May 2016 Electricity); June 1 Payroll $2,979.22; Cass Co Treasurer $864.88 (Ballot Expenses); Wastewater Services Co $150.00 (wastewater training); Windstream $138.33 (Apr-May 2016 Telephone Expense). Motion by Allgayer to approve the claims as presented; second by Wray. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
