VILLAGE OF ELMWOOD
Board of Trustees Regular Meeting – March 5, 2014
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Allgayer, Ronhovde, and Vice-Chairman Ernst presiding; Clements and Wilhelm were absent. The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Vice-Chairman Ernst declared the “Open Meeting Act” posted. Visitors present were: Pat Beckmann and T.J. Hansen; Ed Blunt was also present.
Motion by Allgayer to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2014 Board Meeting as presented; second by Ronhovde. Vote: Yes: All; No: None. Motion carried.
Streets: No Report.
Park: Will price new gas trimmer and push mower.
Library: Motion by Ronhovde to approve the payment of bills as presented; second by Allgayer. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried.
Water: Usage: Pumped 1,832,000 gallons; treated 1,604,000 gallons.
Sewer: Testing within normal limits.
Planning/Zoning Commission: Minutes from February 27th meeting presented. Recommend zoning change from Commercial to Residential on Property Parcel 130034266 located near 129 North 4th Street. Hearing will be held April 2nd during the Village Board Meeting w/notice by publication and signage to be posted 10 days prior to hearing.
Special Events: Leprechaun Chase 10K Run March 7, 2014 at Mahoney State Park – volunteers will earn funds for our village park.
Safety Committee: No Report.
Old Business: Property owner at 224 North 5th Street will have tree trimmed this Spring. Motion by Allgayer to reimburse subcontractor $33.60 for mileage to class; second by Ronhovde. RCV: Allgayer: Yes, Ronhovde: Yes, Ernst: No. Motion carried. Motion by Allgayer to approve the 2013 FYE Audit Documents as presented; second by Ronhovde. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried. Motion by Ronhovde to proceed with PayPort Point of Sale System; second by Allgayer. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried.
New Business: Insurance Policy renewal; will ask Jeff Clymer to attend March 19, 2014 Board Meeting. Discussion re: interior paint grant for public spaces; no action taken at this time.
Dog license letters will be mailed March 20.
