Village of Elmwood

The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Allgayer, Ronhovde, Clymer, and Vice-Chairman Blunt presiding. All signed the "Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting". Diann Stille, Dan Spaulding and Becky vonRentzell were also in attendance.
Vice-Chairman Blunt declared the Open Meeting Act Posted.
Minutes from the December 16, 2010 meeting were presented. Vice-Chairman Blunt declared the minutes approved as presented.
Streets: Discussion of a proposed One and Six Year Plan from JEO. A hearing will be held on January 20, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. No Further Action Taken.
Park: Trustee Ronhovde is looking for volunteers to clean up branches at the park. Ronhovde also reported EMMA (Elmwood-Murdock Merchants Association) volunteered to pay 50% for two new evergreens to be planted at the park. Motioned by Allgayer, 2nd by Clymer to move forward with the trees. RCV: Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: Ernst.
Library: No Action Taken.
Water: A water line was hit at 317 West E. The resident hired Roto-Snake to fix a sewer issue. Clerk was instructed to send a bill for the village's costs to Roto-Snake and a copy to the property owner. Spaulding was instructed to write a report of the incident. No Further Action Taken.
Sewer: Motioned by Ronhovde, 2nd by Allgayer to approve pay application #12 in the amount of $30,273.08 to Hawkins Construction. RCV: Aye: All. Nay: None. Absent: Ernst.
Planning Committee: No Action Taken.
Community Development: No Action Taken.
Elmwood's 125th Birthday Celebration Committee: Discussion of the village paying insurance for the 125th Celebration. The cost is $43.00/year to cover the committee and the one day event. Ronhovde suggested the board cancel the policy on June 1, 2011 and instructed Clerk vonRentzell to place a reminder on the "To Do List". The next meeting will be 1/20/11 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Clymer questioned the Clements Insurance bill of $350.00. He doesn't think Clerk vonRentzell needs to be bonded for $100,000.00. The board suggested holding the check until more information is available.
