The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Fields, Clymer, & Ernst present and with Chairman Blunt presiding. All signed the "Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting. Bonita Drake, Keri Hogue, & Butch Sailors were, also, in attendance.
Chairman Blunt declared the Open Meeting Act Posted.
Presentation of the minutes of the July 1, 2009, meeting. Chairman Blunt declared the minutes approved as presented.
Streets: Blunt gave an update on the shop in Spaulding's absence. The floor drain has been installed and the floor has been poured.
Library: Keri Hogue presented the 2009-10 budget request for the Library. The request requires an increase in Tax Dollars of $3,400. This would require a cut to General Operating funds for the Village and Park or an increase in taxes. The increase is needed in order to increase the Library Directors wages to a comparable level with other libraries in the area and to meet increase energy costs. The Village Treasurer and the Library Board will do further research and a decision on the request will be made at the August 1 meeting.
